Are We Living Life Naturally?

Feeling deeply hurt but still need to keep smiling, just because you are apprehensive about your partner's reaction if he sees you upset, in fact if he sees someone seeing you upset with HIM! Welcome those you have many times hurt your feelings indirectly, done irreparable damage to your self respect, just because it is your family custom and you are the so called D-I-L, but need to cover your DIL(heart) with the load of customs, respect, traditions and values.

How many situations are there in your life that you have lived it artificially? How many such moments are there when you are not yourself, but you are what the world wants you to be or may be your family? In fact many, many such. But, that is life. Life would never have been life if everything was natural and joyous. The thing is to train our minds to wish what the situation demands then you will not have to suppress YOURself!

Monday Morning Blues

Oh! The week has ended again and I have arrived on the most dreaded day of the week "MONday". No body wants to work on Monday and Friday seems to be the most favorite day for everyone and is looked forward to. Common, let us see what makes us hate Monday.


  • As humans, we are inclined to avoid work and seek rest and this time arrives on weekends. The drudgery of getting out from a hiatus is very assuming on us and we do not want to come out of it. This is one of the reasons why we hate Monday.
  • We also hate Monday because thats when deadlines are set for the week and work has to begin. 
  • Some of us have the Performance Review meetings on Monday and that scares us to death and thats the reason Monday is avoided.
Let us now check out the ways in which we can at least love Monday( forget looking forward to it :-) 
  1. On the Sunday evening, prepare your mind for the work to be done on Monday
  2. Arrive at least 15 minutes early to the office, so that you can get "adjusted" to the new task that has to begin.
  3. Speak to your colleagues and find out what they have done on the weekend.
  4. Prepare well in advance for what you are going to show in those Performance Review meetings.

Change: The constancy of life

Change, the only thing constant in life. How many of you heard this sentence before and have hardly accepted it? We all know that changes are inevitable in life, yet we fail to accept it as a part of life. We get on with the routine of life and when something changes, we feel upset. We always want to go in one flow without accepting the fact that life is replete with changes.


When we embrace change as a part of life, things will be much easier for us. Its not going to be the same every time. Always expect and accept changes. For example, if you are expecting a particular kind of behavior from your boyfriend as he always does that and if suddenly he stops doing that or does it in a different way then thats going to upset you a bit. But, if you accept that change as a part of natural process then, you are not going to be upset.

The better way to embrace changes is to introduce them in your life constantly. Let not routine set in your life. Bring minor changes in your everyday schedule, instead of taking the same monotonous way. This can change your outlook towards change. For instance, take a different route to your office, read a magazine instead of the newspaper, instead of watching T.V take a walk in the park, do not sweat it out at the gym but take a run in the woods etc. Bringing minor changes in everyday life can make you ready to face changes as a part of life.

The Power Of Positivity

There are times when you feel down and out and think that worse is going to happen. Negative feelings occupy our mind and we feel our world is going to end. At this time, there is only one power that can help you sail through and that is the power of positivity. In the book, "The Secret", the author describes how positive feelings and thoughts can change your life. Constantly, thinking about "What You Want" and NOT ABOUT "What You DO NOT Want" can transform your life.

The main thing we all need to do is if you do not like something change it and if you cannot change it then change your attitude. And, in this sentence lies the solution to all problems. Adopting a positive approach towards life can change your attitude immensely. Let not your mind mull over the negative things or negative people in your life. When you brood over negative things, it reflects in your behavior, it does not keep your inner and outer self in sync. If something or some person makes you feel worthless, then just stop thinking about it or them. Concentrate on the good things you have got in life. Make yourself busy, invest your time in creative and productive things of life instead of thinking about how to control things in your life. Move with the flow but let not negative thoughts creep in. Think about the good things life has give you and be positive about what is going to happen next. Do not expect it to happen but be cool and positive.

Negative feelings can vent out only if you want them to. The moment a negative thought enters your mind, divert your mind towards a positive thought. Positive thoughts will always ensure that you remain cool and will urge to behave in a dignified manner and save you from becoming a frustrated individual. Let us shift our focus from the negative, less productive, disheartening things of our life and, the things that we are not of capable of changing or we do not have control of, to the things/activities that can change our future and make us more confident, poised and successful individuals.


Respect yourself, nurture positive feelings, stop having bitter feelings for anyone, behaved in a dignified manner, keep your cool and life will be easy. Do not chase anything in life, attract it in your life by the Power Of Positivity!
